UPDATE: slightly corrected neck and shoulder, but it's still not perfect, I gotta go learn anatomy seriously.
Yeah, tell you a truth, I paint and imagine a lot of Sci-fi stuffs, environments, and do speedpainting a lot, but I put my highest respect for any character painter. You may think speedpainting is great, but in my opinion it can not be compared with portrait painting. Portrait painting require much more skills and feelings, not to mention deep understanding in human anatomy. My gosh, architecture to me is far easier to understand than human anatomy.
So back to fantasy, a female elf and her name is Adera, seeker for the Balance.
This is the first time I try this kind of portrait/character painting (less realistic but more paint-like) so please dont laugh.
Photoshop CS 2, reference for face's ratio is based on errr.... myself (with a mirror ek ek, but be warned, I'm a guy.)

This is lovely!! Truly, it is -- however, because you're such a good painter and artist I want to have you look again at the neck/hairline area. It looks a little odd because of the way you shadowed it.
